Student Wellbeing – Get Direction Program

GET DIRECTION is a program for young adults aged 15 –19 that have either left school or are experiencing difficulty in their school environment. This course is designed to help participants explore their options in a supportive and challenging environment. This is an outcome focused program designed to reconnect young people with future employment and training opportunities. It runs 4 days a week during school terms.

 Nationally Recognised Certificate I in
 Vocational Preparation
 Goal Setting, Motivation and Barrier Identification
 Confidence and Self-Esteem Building
 Conflict and Anger Management
 Strengths and Values
 Skills Audit and Career Testing
 Decision Making
 Accessing the hidden job market
 Resume Writing and Interview Skills
 Industry Excursions and Activities
 Employer Expectations of Young Workers
 Knowing your rights and responsibilities
 Apprenticeships and Traineeships
 Training Program Investigation

When: 4 days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9am – 2:45pm

Group 1 – 23rd July – 17th August

Group 2 – 27th August – 21st September

Cost: $50.00 plus $110.00 admin fee
Funding is made available through the State Government (Eligability criteria applies)
