Education Maintenance Allowance 2013

If you hold a current Health Care Card (current on 29/01/2013) you could be eligible for EMA.

Forms are available from the office. Forms must be returned  no later than 28 February 2013. The Dept will not accept late applications.

The State Government has changed the way the payments are made. The school no longer get a portion.  Parents have two choices they can either have the money put into their own bank account or they can choose to put it into the schools bank account which will go directly to the child’s school fees. %). The school also gives eligible parent $80 off the school fees.

The payment amounts are as follows

Prep       $200

Yr 1-6     $150

Yr 7          $300

Yr 8 – until your child turns 16.   $250

Payments will be deposited late March (70%) and late August (30%)
