Important School Travel Survey

Dear Families,

Collingwood College will be undertaking a whole of school travel survey at the end of this week.

The survey is part of the strategic travel plan the college is currently developing to address the traffic management issues around the school and help support families to choose more sustainable travel (walking, cycling, public transport and carpooling).

Part of the plan involves conducting a school travel survey.

This will help us to understand our current travel behaviour. It will also gain information to improve options for student travel and plan strategies.

This survey is across the entire school. It includes staff and students in all year levels (P-12), and is for both parents and students to fill out.

Not only will the survey be an important tool for future planning it is also a great opportunity for families to voice their opinions on what they see are the current travel issues and offer some solutions.

A copy of the survey will be given to you by your child’s teacher this week.

Please return your survey by Monday 6th May when your child will complete the rest of the survey in class.

For more information or if you are interested in being involved with the working team for the travel plan please contact Tara Watson (parent) on twatson2@tpg.com.au
