  • 15% of students catch the train
SENIORS (Years 7-12)
  • 56% of students use public transport.
  • Train is the most popular form of transport, with close to 1 in 2 students in Years 7-12 using it
  • 18% of students walk to school
  • 1 in 2 students travel more than 3kms to get to school.

A big THANK YOU for your participation in the recent travel survey to inform the development of our strategic travel plan.
The survey results will be posted online as well as on the travel planning noticeboard at school. THE NEXT STEP is to undertake a number of focus (discussion) groups. The purpose is to explore insights from the survey and gain some ideas on how we can address our traffic concerns and plan for more ways to travel safely and sustainably.
Focus groups have already been carried out with teachers and student ones are planned.
We also want to hear from you, the parents. Whether your child is driven to school, rides or walks, we need to hear from all types of transport users. INVITATION TO THE PARENTS’ FOCUS GROUP
Tuesday 25th June, 1.45pm-2.45pm (just before pick-up), at the Library, Collingwood College.
This will be a great opportunity to have a say, share your ideas and ask questions about the Travel Plan process.
We hope to see you there. If you’re interested please let Tara know to plan for seating:
Thanks and looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday afternoon.
Tara Watson.
