Dinosaurs walking to school with students in October

Collingwood College is pleased to announce we are participating in Yarra City Council’s 2014 Walk to School program.

For the month of October primary school children will be encouraged to walk to and from school as often as possible as part of the VicHealth initiative.

Our school will be doing a range of activities and there will be prizes and incentives for students and classes who walk the most.

As an added special feature this year council will be placing specially themed animal tracks along routes to Collingwood College. This is part of the adventure of walking to school and the footprints will be Australian Dinosaurs!

Dinosaur tracks outside YOUR door

Council are extending an invitation to families to have their own dinosaur footprint outside their house on the footpath.

Australian Dinosaur footprints will be offered to a limited number of families who live within the walkable distance of 1000meters (1km) to Collingwood College.

Families are asked to register their interest by Friday 12th September. For more information and to print out the ‘expression of interest’ form please see the attached pdf.   CollingwoodCollege letter for Tracks to School
