BACK TO SCHOOL – SAFE WAYS TO TRAVEL

A big welcome to all families at Collingwood College for the 2015 school year.

The start of the school year brings a timely reminder that we have a large volume of students and their families, staff and volunteers all arriving and departing school at the same time. We have many who walk, scoot, ride and come by car.

We ask that those who drive to please be aware:

  • Slow down around the school perimeter and on approach.
  • Drop Off / Pick Up Zone is located on Campbell Street.  There is an entry gate and path leading to the school. Short term parking is provided.
  • Parking areas directly in front of the school are strictly for staff and visitors. Permits are required.
  • Strictly No Parking areas are: on the school zebra crossing; in front of the green gates (main playground area); and the private car parking property directly next to the school.

Please see the Parking Map pdf below:

Families who cycle:

  • • Undercover bike parking is provided near the gym

Stay Tuned

Collingwood College will be holding a number of events throughout the year to support healthy and safe ways to travel to and from school as well as addressing our traffic concerns.  Stay tuned for more information.
