Junior Playground Working Bee – 5 September

Request for volunteers to install the finishing touches!

Many parents have been involved in the creation of the new junior playground over the past couple of years. It has been an enormous effort to build the large wooden structures that snake their way from one end of the playground to the other, and creating new sandpits and other landscaping work. The work is nearly finished! What’s needed now are the finishing touches that will make the playground really special. This includes adding musical elements to make the musical steps musical, weaving to make the birds nest a nest, planting to make the forest a forest, and so on.

In the links below there are details of the tasks that remain to be done. We need people to select a task that interests them, work out what materials they need, find some people to help them, and then come along ready to get it done at a working bee on Saturday 5 September.

Playground Task Sheets

Some of the tasks already have names against them, if you would like to help them please get in touch with those people.

In some instances materials will need to be purchased. I can assist with information about how to arrange for this and can meet people in the playground on Mondays or Thursdays. Please give me a call on 0403 588026.

Thanks for your help,

Melissa Fitzgerald
