Head Lice Checks

Dear Primary Parents,

In the first week back after the holidays (week starting Monday 5th October – that’s a little reminder!) the ‘nit nurse’ from the City of Yarra will be visiting our school over two days.  They are very good and very conscious of keeping the results private – students aren’t told, but parents would be contacted if anything found.  They also give us the most up to date information on effective treatment – and in the past have even given us product at a reduced cost!

If you didn’t give consent when you enrolled your child at the school, you can still fill out the form at the office and they will organise for you child to be added to the list.  Having the whole school checked and treated at the same time goes a long way to keeping our students’ heads lice free coming into Summer; which can only be a relief to any of us that have had to treat, and treat!

Please talk to your child’s teacher if you have any questions, or give me a call on 94127798.
