Important Fruit Tree Message

Dear Collingwood Community,

We would appreciate parents/carers talking to their children in regards to looking after the fruit trees and not picking underipe fruit and/or undoing/ripping the nets covering the trees to get to the fruit.

The fruit on the trees around the school is for the students in the Kitchen garden program to cook with. Some fruit trees are for picking for all students and Ben will tell students which.

We understand for our young students, these trees are looking very enticing at the moment, however many kilograms of underipe fruit is being wasted.

Please also remind your children not to climb the fruit trees, which damages the fruiting branches and knocks off the semi-ripe fruit.

Thanks very much for your assistance,

Desley & Ben
