Community Fair 2015

We invite you to share in our wonderful community!

We are looking forward to our Community Fair on Sunday, 18 October. Please see below for more news.

Feel free to bring your friends!

Join us for lots of Fair Day fun with face painting, animal farmyard, stunt bikes, the great crate stacking competition, pony rides and lots of fun & games & kiddies craft in the Children’s Garden.

Things to buy – stock up the gift cupboard or treat yourself with gorgeous homemade crafts, seedlings & seed balls, preloved books & clothes, cake and preserves.

Things to eat & drink – try our famous homemade curry stall & pizza from our woodfired oven, enjoy a BBQ corn, sizzling sausages and snow cones with homemade topping. Coffee, chai, homemade lemonade & a bar should you fancy. We also have one of Melbourne’s most loved food vans joining us – thanks Taco Truck!

Grab a bargain – Get bidding at our silent (sssshhhhh…) and LOUD auctions! Have a look at our auction website to see what’s on offer and choose the ‘buy it now’ if there’s something too good to miss.

Be entertained – start the day watching the Maypole Dance and other dance performances on the Dance Stage. Relax and chill to our Student Orchestra performances in Big Marquee, or browse the Art Show and take in an acoustic performance by our talented piano, woodwind and cello students. Check out the up-and-coming big names of tomorrow at the Battle of the Bands on the Mezzanine. See our program for full list of performances and activities.

Meet our school –  our primary Steiner & Reggio Emilia inspired classrooms will be open with teachers to talk to, take a school tour and check out the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program.

We look forward to sharing the day with you!

Community Fair Auctions

As part of our fundraising efforts we have over 60 items up for auction. To see what we have on offer or to place an early bid please see the online auctions site.

Process for asking for donations:

1) Write your name on the Sponsors List located on the Community Notice Board (in the corridor next to the Canteen) against the name of the business you are approaching for donations. If the business name is not on the list please add it at the bottom of the list. THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT so that businesses are not asked more than once for a donation!

2) Take a Donations Letter and Donations Record form (hard copy on the Community Notice Board or in the Office, electronic copy attached) and take this to the donor business. Fill out the Volunteer Details section of the Donations Record form and ask the business fill out the Business Details section of the form (this is important so we know what sponsor name to put on the website and what address to send the Certificate of Appreciation). DonationsLetter&Form2015

3) Return donated item with Donations Record attached to the Office, in cases where goods are being used by the class ie. flour for cake stall, please just submit the Donations Record form to the Office so that all donors can be thanked appropriately.

ACTION: All classes reminded to seek donations and submit Donations Record forms to Office.
